WORD HAS COME DOWN THAT A NEW TENANT HAS BEEN LINED UP TO MOVE INTO THE J.C. PENNEY LOCATION AT THE FIVE LAKES CENTRE MALL IN FAIRMONT. J.C. PENNEY EARLIER THIS YEAR ANNOUNCED THE CLOSING OF THEIR FAIRMONT LOCATION AT THE END OF JULY. A FACEBOOK POSTING ANNOUNCING THAT SAVEWIZE DEPARTMENT STORES, AN ONLINE DISCOUNT WHOLESALER, WILL BE OPENING A NEW STORE IN FAIRMONT.

FIVE LAKES MANAGER DAHMON GULLORD CONFIRMED THAT SAVEWIZE IS OPENING UP THEIR FIRST PILOT STORE IN THE MALL. ONE OF THE MALL OWNERS HAS A SON THAT RUNS THE SAVEWIZE OPERATION AND THAT THEY OWN 3 OTHER MALLS THAT SAVEWIZE MAY OPEN IN ALSO ACCORDING TO DAHMON. HE SAYS THAT STORE WILL HANDLE A LOT OF THE MERCHANDISE PENNEY'S DID INCLUDING CLOTHING PLUS A LINE OF FURNITURE.

DAHMON GULLARD ADDS THAT A PRESENT PENNEY'S ASSISTANT MANAGER CASSIDY MADSEN WILL MANAGE THE NEW SAVEWIZE STORE AND THAT THE MALL HAD PURCHASED THE FIXTURES, SHELVING, RACK AND DISPLAYS FROM PENNEY'S AND THAT THE NEW STORE HOPES TO OPEN IN A MONTH OR TWO AFTER PENNEY'S HAS MOVED OUT WITH A STARTUP STAFF OF 20 TO 30 EMPLOYEES.
